About the Author
Krista Behr is a lifelong gardener passionate about growing fruit, vegetables, herbs and more in zone 4 America. In addition to a massive outdoor kitchen garden, rambling herb beds, berry patches, a mini orchard and more, she has dedicated years of time, energy and research into cultivating a potted “windowsill garden” of subtropical fruits and spices – container-growing tropical trees, shrubs, vines and plants indoors to survive the northern climate. She has first-hand skills and expertise in growing potted fruit trees and spice plants including citrus (lemons, lime, orange & tangerine), pomegranates, pineapple, avocado, olives, coffee, black pepper vines, vanilla vines, curry, and much more.
Krista lives in the rural foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York with her family, dogs, chickens, ducks, geese, and a bazillion plants.

In a nutshell, I am a northern-zone gardener that is passionate about growing fruit (among other things). This blog is not a nursery sales site, nor is it sponsored by any garden supply companies. This is simply me myself, giving brutally honest advice in a site that grew out of reviews of fruit trees, canes, and other plants I bought for my garden – what they looked like when they arrived, how they survived the winter, and how they continued to grow and produce throughout the years. (And occasionally how I accidentally killed the poor things. Oops.)
I do not accept garden nursery sponsorships simply because I want to keep my objectivity. PRIVACY POLICY
I.e., all the Legal stuff they told me I had to say
Here’s the skinny, folks: I write and manage this blog entirely by myself. I do not collect your personal information in any way shape or form… however, if you sign up for auto-email alerts, I assume there’s probably a way I could see your email address if I tried (I never have. Don’t understand technology unless it was made to garden with). All I get are stats that say how many visitors from what countries, browser types, what websites they arrived from, etc. Any information you deliberately leave in the comments is a whole separate ballgame – that info I CAN see – so please choose carefully what you decide to disclose there. I don’t share it, but keep in mind comments are public so I don’t have to for other folks to see it.
That’s MY personal use. Now the fine print:
On a larger scale, this blog DOES use a number of third-party techy-gadgets. These gadgets make the use of cookies.
